Our Story
Alaska Mining & Diving Supply opened its doors in Anchorage in 1976 to serve the miners, divers and adventurers who chose to make a living on the edge of the map. Nearly fifty years later, we're still here — same family, same commitment, broader inventory.
Today AMDS is Alaska's headquarters for gold mining equipment, metal detectors, snowmobiles, ATVs and boats. We're an authorized dealer for Ski-Doo, Can-Am, Minelab, Garrett, Keene and many more — but our edge is the people behind the counter, who've actually used the gear they sell.
1976
Founded in Anchorage as a niche supplier for divers and small miners.
1990s
Expanded into snowmobiles and ATVs as Alaskan recreation grew.
2000s
Became the leading authorized dealer for Ski-Doo and Can-Am in Southcentral Alaska.
Today
Family-owned, in-house service, and the largest mining selection in the state.
